Singapore

Red Ginger flower, Singapore Zoo

After using APS cameras for many years, I decided it was time to get a digital camera while in Singapore last week.  I went for a Sony DSC-T100 in silver, which also comes in red and black.  It has 8.1 megapixels, 5 x optical zoom and 3-inch screen.  The large screen is very clear and bright, making it great for viewing extreme closeup mode shots.  It can also be connected to an HDTV screen at 1080i resolution and supports memory sticks up to 8GB.  Sony include a 1GB stick, though I also bought a 4GB one.  I nearly went for an 8GB, though it was the same price as the camera!

I also spent a day at the Singapore Zoo testing out the camera.  I've uploaded all the photos from my Singapore visit here.
